Living Words Create Life

We are surrounded by words. Can you feel it? Everyone has an opinion about everything. If you agree with someone’s ideology, fine. If not, get ready for an onslaught of negativity and divisiveness. Sometimes, you just need to take a break.

Here is the break you’ve been looking for, and it starts at the very beginning. In the beginning… God spoke, and life began. His words are spirit and they are life.

How well are you stewarding the words He has spoken over you? Do you remember them? Like Mary, do you store them up in your heart to recount them often?

As you remember His words of life, you will know His words as they become your experience, woven into the fabric of your heart. This is what a Living Word does—it integrates within you to create new life within. You cannot extricate His word once it has taken hold.

It is so important to tune our ears to hear His voice—to listen and hold onto His words of life. If we aren’t careful, the shouts of the world will drown out His voice and we’ll begin to listen to the voice of another.

“For as a man thinks in his heart, so is he” as the proverb states. Words have the power to shape our lives.

The devil will try to influence your life with words that attack your identity and alter your destiny in the Lord. Don’t let him get away with it.

In his book “Hosting the Presence”, Pastor Bill Johnson writes:

I can’t afford to live in reaction to darkness. If I do, darkness has had a role in setting the agenda for my life. The devil is not worthy of such influence, even in the negative. Jesus lived in response to the Father. I must learn to do the same.”

Hold onto the Living Word. He will bring you life.
